This Data Retention Policy explains how long CENTRA Studios retains your data and your rights regarding data deletion.
1. Retention Periods
We retain different types of data for different periods based on legal requirements and business needs:

2. Your Right to Deletion
2.1 What You Can Request
You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by:
- Using the "Delete Account" feature in account settings
- Emailing privacy@centrastudios.com with subject "Deletion Request"
2.2 Deletion Process
Upon receiving a valid deletion request:
- We verify your identity
- We process the request within 45 days (CCPA) / 30 days (GDPR)
- We confirm deletion via email
- Backup data is purged within 90 days
2.3 What We May Retain
Even after deletion, we may retain certain data as required by law:
- Tax records: 7 years (IRS requirements)
- Transaction records: 7 years (financial regulations)
- Legal dispute records: Duration of dispute + 3 years
- Fraud prevention data: As needed for security
- Aggregated/anonymized data: Indefinitely (no personal identification)
2.4 Deletion Exemptions
We may deny or delay deletion requests when:
- Required to complete a transaction you initiated
- Necessary for fraud detection or security
- Required for legal compliance
- Needed for internal research (anonymized)
- Subject to legal hold or litigation
3. Data Export
3.1 Your Right to Portability
You have the right to receive a copy of your personal data in a portable format. This includes:
- Profile information
- Booking history
- Messages (your sent messages)
- Payment summaries (not full card details)
- Talent profile (if applicable)
3.2 Requesting Export
To request your data:
- Use the "Export Data" feature in account settings
- Email privacy@centrastudios.com with subject "Data Export Request"
Exports are provided within 30 days in JSON or CSV format.
4. California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected
- Know whether your information is sold or disclosed
- Say no to the sale of personal information (we do not sell data)
- Request deletion of personal information
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights

6. Children's Data
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly. Contact privacy@centrastudios.com to report concerns.
7. Backup and Archive Data
- Active backups: Retained for 90 days
- Archives: May be retained longer for disaster recovery
- Deleted data is purged from backups during normal rotation cycles
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification.
